Todos Santos Ecotourism Symposium

Who? This event is FREE and OPEN to the Public. Target audiences include: ecotourism outfitters/guides, students, members of the hospitality industry, local vendors, etc.
What? The symposium will feature educational workshops, roundtable discussions, keynote speakers, clinics, and research presentations concerning regional ecotourism issues. Potential topics include: History & Future of Ecotourism in BCS, Government Involvement in Tourism, Wildlife Conservation (whale sharks, sea turtles, etc.), Marine/Coastal Conservation (reef & mangrove stewardship), NOM 9 Nature Guide Certification Process, Marketing, & Voluntourism/Community Service.
When? Friday, May 25th from 9:00am – 2:00pm (complementary lunch served to those who RSVP to Castro.Prieto@colostate.edu before May 23rd).
Where? Colorado State University – Todos Santos Center – Main Campus (https://todossantos.colostate.edu)
Why? The symposium is intended to bring together the local ecotourism community and promote sustainable development in Baja California Sur. The event offers an opportunity to share knowledge, develop skills, and discuss current issues impacting ecotourism and economic development in the region.
How? The Autonomous University of Baja California Sur (UABCS), Todos Santos Eco Adventures, and the Institute of Ecotourism Studies at Colorado State University have collaborated to host this first annual event in Todos Santos.
